KASA Initiative and PEF signs MoU to champion Climate Change

In efforts to ensure factories and businesses contribute to the fight against the current climate changes the globe is experiencing, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Kasa Initiative Ghana and the Private Enterprise Federation in Accra, Ghana.

Kasa Initiative is a lead platform for Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) involved in advocacy for Sustainable Natural Resources and the Environment governance as well the Convener of CSOs Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 13 and Co-Conveners of SDGs 15 and 16 in Ghana.

Whiles Private Enterprise Federation (PEF) is an apex institution that forges consensus and provides the leadership voice for advocacy for private initiatives in Ghana.

The Memorandum of Standing (MoU) signed between the two insitutions seek to deliver on common objectives across most sectors of the economy.

Furthermore, to leverage on each others strength and take advantage to emerge under climate change to develop initiatives that respond to the need of its members and country at large.

The signing ceremony took place in the offices of the Private Enterprise Federation (PEF) and will enhance the advocacy for sustainability in environmental sector in effort to support business and communities.

Under the MoU signed, beneficiaries would include CSOs under the Kasa framework , members of PEF and rural communities across the country.

The two institutions believes that, the MoU signed is in the right direction in the fight against climate change and ensuring good practice of factories and the enforcement of laws by the needed regulators.

The MoU was signed by Mr. Charles Agboklu the chairman of Kasa Initiative and the Chief Executive Director of PEF ,Nana Osei Bonsu.
