You’ll Be President One Day, Make Us Proud In Parliament
– Bortianor/Ngleshie Amanfro to Sly Tetteh

Story by: Frederick E. Aggrey

Seldom would one find a leader generally accepted by his people in recent African history, since stakeholders decry current crop of African and even some world leaders at almost all stages of national and continental life, labelling Africa as having leadership crisis.

Martin Luther King Jnr of blessed memory once said, “A genuine leader is not a searcher for consensus, but a molder of consensus.”

It is therefore refreshing to experience a young political leader in recent times carve his or her political life around resounding acceptance and endorsement of the people he or she represents; even more refreshing is when same could be seen in Ghana.

Sylvester Tetteh, newly elected Member of Parliament (MP) of the Bortianor/Ngleshie Amanfro constituency in the just ended 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary elections has gained the resounding endorsement and trust of his constituents, who believes he would become President of Ghana one day, and has therefore charged him to make them proud in Parliament.

Speaking to the Press in the constituency, traditional leaders, traders and residents of the constituency revealed that, for the limited time Sylvester Tetteh came to the constituency to seek their mandate to lead them, the development projects and social support he has given them is unimaginable.

To them, they have never experienced such dedication to the ordinary citizen in previous Parliamentarians and called on him to make them proud in Parliament, by making them heard and visible in the House.

They believe that in present political history of Ghana, the country needs such leaders, and hence believe that he is the future of the NPP and Ghana among the next generation politicians.

On his part, he assured the constituents of selfless and dedicated service, assuring them of exemplary representation that ensures that they get their share of the national cake.

He said, “The people of Bortianor/Ngleshie Amanfro constituency can trust me for credibility, development, lobbying for projects, advocacy, dynamic development activism and pushing for their fair share of the national development.”
