Head coach of Eleven Wonders, Yaw Acheampong has been disappointed with his charges’ poor output against Hearts of Oak on Sunday.
Wonders were nailed four times and they managed to reply ones in week 13 of the 2021/22 league season at the Accra Sports Stadium. The Techiman based club succumbed to Salim Adams, Kofi Kordzi’s double and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh’s goals are the nation’s Wembley. Tetteh Nortey pulled one back on the 84th minute but it was too little to rescue a point for the side. The game finished 4-1 against Eleven Wonders whose coach, Yaw Acheampong admits to a bad day at the office.
“I think bad day in office, everything went wrong. “I was thinking in the first half we got a couple of chances, I think about three or four chances that we should have buried it but we couldn’t make it so I think bad day in office. “I don’t know what happened, I think we were down by one goal when we returned for second half and then I told them to be discipline and try to push a little bit but they came in and everything was different. “That’s why I started making the changes because I saw that the players playing, they don’t even know what they are doing on the field of play so I had to bring in fresh legs to see if things can change. “It’s just unfortunate.” Yaw Acheampong told StarTimes.
Wonders have not been impressive this season – raking home three wins, three draws and suffering seven defeats. They have 13 points seated second from bottom of the 18-club league. They will next play premier league returnees, Real Tamale United in week 14 at the Ohene Ameyaw Park.
