The former Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection on the occasion donated 160 wheelchairs and other walking aids to Person’s With Disabilities to mark her 60th birthday.
The decision to celebrate her birthday with PWDs according to her was in appreciation first to God, who had guided her through difficult times, and also to Person’s With Disabilities whom had been a source of inspiration to her.
“When God blesses you, it’s important to give back, and of my 60 years, it’s been such a journey, ful of struggle, pains and tears”.
“Through all the years, I have had destiny helpers who have been there to help me through each situation” she recounted.
However she acknowledged that, the Foundation can not solve all the challenges facing persons with disability however the donation is her widows mite adding that, last she donated 59 wheel chairs when she obtained 59 and decided to double it to 160 at age 60.
