TUDEC Ghana, a benevolent organization as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has distributed bags of meat to over 15,000 people across the country.
The gesture forms part of the celebration of the annual Eid-Al-Adha by the Muslim community in the country and across the world as 650 cows were slaughtered to celebrate the festivity of giving.
Addressing journalists after the distribution of the meat at East Legon, a suburb of Accra, the Principal (Preschool and Primary Section) of the Galaxy International School, Mr. Mustafa Kaya said the primary purpose of the program is the culture of sharing during the festive celebration.
He said the sharing as well as giving is not only limited to the Muslim community but cuts across all religious bodies in the country and all walks of human endeavor.
“TUDEC Ghana has embarked on numerous and series of support to the needy and the less privileged in the society”, he said and however explained that the gesture forms and ties into their corporate values and virtues.
According to him, giving and sharing is an annual exercise by TUDEC and have been a landmark on the calendar of the organization which management and volunteers have been committed to exhibit at all times and all working operations in the country.
Mr. Mustapha Kaya, therefore congratulated all Muslims for the successful celebration and called on all religious bodies to continue to live in peace and harmony.
