Ayawaso West MP Commissions 6 Unit Classroom Block with Smart ICT Center

To ensure quality education is provided to the children in her Constituency, the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Lydia Seyram Alhassan has commissioned a 6-unit classroom block with a smart center for the University of Ghana Staff Village Basic School.

Commissioning the 6-Unit Classroom edifice, she was of high spirit that, the edifice will transform the lives and empower the future generation of the community.

“In a world that is rapidly advancing in terms of technology, and knowledge, the importance of quality education cannot be overstated”, she reiterated.

Therefore noted that “we must provide our students with an environment that doesn’t only meet the educational needs, but also prepare them for the challenges of an increasingly interconnected and digital world”.

The ICT lab she revered will serve as a hub for innovation, creativity, and digital literacy by investing in these children.

“We are investing in the community and to ensure that their future is truly bright and like to express my profound gratitude to our sponsor Ghana gas and Ghana Education Service for providing the school and the smart ICT lab”, the hardworking Member of Parliament acknowledged.

According to her, this is part of her efforts as their MP to improve educational outcomes in the district, which had been lagging in terms of infrastructural development in schools.

She therefore reiterated her commitment to providing a serene and congenial environment for school children to study in the Ayawaso West Constituency of the Greater Accra Region.

And used the occasion to charge the school authorities to maintain the classroom blocks for they to stand the test of time and for future generations.

On her part, the Headmistress of the University Staff Primary, Mrs Doris Amponsah reiterated the concerns about the infrastructural gaps that existed in the school.

She lauded the MP and the Minister for Education for making efforts to bridge this existing gap.

For maintenance of the new six unit classroom block, the headmistress assured the Member of Parliament, Lydia Seyram Alhassan of the school administration utmost readiness to ensure the current state of the edifice is maintained and improved upon.
