Presidential Aspirant of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections in Nigeria, Honourable Peter Obi successfully commissioned personal projects in the northern part of the country.

The much-followed politician who is mostly popular amongst Nigerian youths took his philanthropic work to the north where he single-handedly sponsored borehole projects and financial giveaways.

The people of Gombe, Bauchi, and Kaduna are some of the beneficiaries of Peter Obi’s Ramadan tour where he prayed and extended philanthropic gestures to the people of the communities.

“Yesterday, Sunday, the 7th of April 2024, marked the conclusion of my nationwide Ramadan tour, which began on 18th March 2024 in Nasarawa State and extended to several other states, including visits to Gombe, Bauchi, and Kaduna States, respectively.” Wrote the politician on his X handle.

“My mission had two objectives: addressing the pressing need for water for the people and praying with them for our troubled fatherland. In Gombe State, yesterday.

“I commissioned a borehole in the community of Kofar Gidan Alh Babayo Kusada Kasuwar Dawaki market Pantami and provided financial assistance to approximately 100 individuals to alleviate prevalent economic hardships with my humble support.

“After fulfilling my commitments in Gombe, my team and I proceeded to Sabon Layi, Bauchi State, where we replicated our efforts by supporting the community with a borehole and financial aid for approximately 100 individuals”.

The journey continued as I traveled to Zaria, Kaduna State, where I had the privilege of meeting His Highness Alhaji Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, the esteemed Emir of Zazzau. During our visit, I conveyed the purpose of my mission, which His Highness received with gratitude.

“He emphasized the importance of my message on transitioning from consumption to production as a vital strategy to combat poverty, insecurity, and other challenges facing Northern Nigeria. Continuing my mission, I proceeded to Kwarbai in Zaria City, where I provided and inaugurated a water project, ensuring essential access to water for the community. Additionally, I extended aid to approximately 100 individuals, further contributing to the betterment of their lives”.

“These trips further confirmed my belief that meeting the urgent needs of the people in the places where they feel the most needs ought to be a cardinal aim of leadership.

“The new Nigeria we seek must place the needs of the people at the center of governance.” He concluded.
Peter Obi was the flag bearer of the Labour Party at the presidential election in 2023 and still retains the ambition to one day assume the position of the General Commander of The Federal Republic of Nigeria.
