On Wednesday, April 10, 2024, An unfortunate incident occurred on the Lagos Third Mainland Bridge where a life was reportedly lost.
The report from one of the victims came in at about 11:48 am where he gave an account of the tragic occurrence.
“The bus I entered had an accident on the 3rd mainland bridge this morning, one person is missing in the water, the front tyre of the bus caused it, these yellow buses are unfit to plough the road, risking people’s lives. I thank God for our lives, I pray the missing person will be found.” Captioned one of the survivors on the footage from the tragic event.
The survivor, with the name A.P.R.O.K.O NURSE on popular social media space, X, said in one of the recordings with a quavering voice that he had second thoughts leaving home for work while people at the scene murmured in the background about one of the persons on board who had fallen into the lagoon.
“I never wanted to go to work today.” He said in a recorded video.
The voices in one of the videos however lamented as the rescue team supposedly found the body albeit lifeless.
Many were left injured from the accident, a failure from one of the front tyres was the cause as the bus tumbled before falling on its side.
Another man present at the scene lamented the poor state of the bus which was said to have taken off from Obalende.
