A volunteering group called Friends of Bawumia (FOB) in the Asante Akyem Central constituency has over the weekend undertaken a cleanup exercise as part of its campaign strategies with the zonal community to break the 8 in the upcoming general elections.
the Zonal Community comprising Konongo and Odumase embarked on the cleaning exercise to keep the environment clean, and also propagate the good works of the government, and showcase the good things that they’ve done for the good people of Ghana.
Speaking at the sidelines of the Exercise, the Convenor of Friends of Bawumia (FOB) a volunteering group who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) Mr. Kofi Ofosu Nkansah reiterated that they will continue to engage the electorates in various activities from now to the election period.
He further indicated that “Every month they will embark on one campaign activity or the other, as a way of propagating the good works of Akufo-Addo and Bawumia”.
“The use of other political means of campaign strategies is to preach the National Health Scheme (NHS) story and to remind the electorates that, NPP is the best government to lead the country and, hence should be allowed to continue.
Touching on the keep-up exercise, Mr. Kofi Ofosu Nkansah indicated that the next agenda is to hold a similar exercise in the various communities to mitigate their inclusion into the volunteering group to help strive to break the eight-year syndrome.
He used the occasion to inform the electorates that, the promise he made to them is still on course and in the coming days as well as the work and pay for taxis.
According to him, there are other things such as scholarship schemes, job opportunities, and petty loan support for small businesses are in the pipeline.
“The NPP government is the only government that can do both soft infrastructure and hard infrastructure citing digitalization, Planting for Food and Jobs as some soft infrastructures and tremendous roads, agenda 111 hospital projects and units blocks as some hard infrastructures,” he reiterated.
According to him, the free SHS executed by the H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the other social interventions undertaken is a testament of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will to carry out infrastructure projects whenever they are in power.
“But anytime we ask the NDC to showcase their software, social intervention becomes difficult because they are not very good at that threat. You need both to develop a nation holistically” he lamented.
That is why he believes that the best party to be given the chance to govern based on track record should be the NPP government as compared to the Mahama-led administration.
“This, good people of Ghana will grant this government the opportunity to govern again come December 7th, 2024 general elections”, he noted.
He therefore tasked the NDC to come out clear on the social intervention programs the party has executed while in government and showcase what they have done for the good people of Ghana.
“I can point out thousands of social interventions and amenities the NPP government led by H.E.Mahamudu Bawumia and H.E.Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has executed”, he acclaimed.
“The NDC and its leader led by ex-president John Dramani Mahama has nothing to offer Ghanaians because the party cannot boast of any intervention to eradicate and eliminate poverty from the system”, he added.
