Dr. Maxwell Ampong: Technology Crucial for SMEs to Stay Competitive

To maximize and enhance efficiency, small and Medium enterprises (SMEs) have been urged to adopt modern technological tools aimed at driving growth.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of Maxwell Investment Group, (MIG), Dr. Maxwell Ampong technology is crucial and relevant for businesses especially SMEs to stay competitive and innovative as they strive to serve their numerous customers with excellence.

Speaking at the SME Capacity Building hosted by renowned Ghanaian-owned bank, GCB Bank PLC in Accra, Dr. Maxwell Ampong reiterated the role and relevance of the need for Ghanaian businesses to use up-to-date technological tools in their day-to-day activities.

He noted this is to maximize profits and also let them be conversant with new technology in their field of business, and serve their customers with excellence and satisfaction.

He further stressed that technology is crucial for businesses to stay competitive and innovative, citing the success of billionaires in advanced countries who have effectively utilized technology.

Dr. Ampong highlighted some benefits of technology adoption, including improved communication, marketing, branding, and customer loyalty.

As he urged them to use technological tools, he warned of the importance of effective cybersecurity systems to mitigate associated risks adding that, failure to adapt to the digital age risks obsolescence.

Dr. Ampong used the occasion to commend GCB Bank PLC for promoting financial literacy through local dialects and increasing access to financial education.

The seminar, themed “Empowering Growth: Optimizing People and Resources for the Digital Era,” equipped SMEs with the knowledge to thrive in the digital landscape.
