As the country heads to the polls on December 7, 2024, Parliamentary Candidates of the various political parties have launched their campaigns in their quest to retain or win their respective seats.
Yahya Kasim Atta, a first-time Parliamentary Candidate for the Amansaman Constituency on the ticket of the ruling party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is one of the numerous parliamentary candidates who launched his campaign on Sunday, 29th September 2024.
First-time Parliamentary Candidate for the Amasaman seat, Mr. Yahya Kassim Atta speaking to the media indicated that his to promote his credentials and achievements of his party.
According to the business guru, he is constructing an 8-unit classroom block, which will become the first private primary school in the area to offer free education for all students.
Interestingly, though he is not yet a Member of Parliament, over 1,200 youths have benefited from the Kas Foundation’s vocational skills training program, which also provided them with start-up capital.
Additionally, paid airtime for Christian and Muslim preachers has been provided for these religious leaders to share the word of God on Mothers FM and TV, one of his businesses.
Meanwhile, Yahya Kassim Atta has cautioned his communication team and supporters not to engage in politics of insults but rather focus on issue-based campaigns of him and the flagbearer of the party, Dr. Bawumia.
“The purpose of the campaign launch is to motivate my supporters and team to take the campaign to all electoral areas in the constituency to ensure that we break the 8-year cycle,” he said.
He emphasized that his goal was to retain the Amasaman seat and secure more votes for him and H.E. Mahamudu Bawumia, aiming to make history as the first Muslim MP and President of the Republic of Ghana.
“We can achieve this because there are no enemies among us. We are all NPP, moving forward together. So let’s unite once again this year to work for a win,” he emphasized.
On his part, the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the NPP, Mr. Divine Agorhum, expressed his joy and excitement over the turnout for the campaign launch.
This, he believes shows the readiness and unity of the Amansaman Constituency in its quest for the seat for the party in the upcoming Presidential and Parliamentary elections in December.
