In a move aimed at boosting ghana’s economy, president John Dramani Mahama has appointed sammy gyamfi to two critical roles: acting managing director of the Precious Minerals marketing company (PMMC) and architect of the ghana gold board (Goldbod).

 

As PMMC MD, Gyamfi will oversee the country’s precious minerals marketing efforts, ensuring that ghana’s mineral resources are harnessed to benefit the nation.

 

His responsibilities will include developing strategies to increase revenue from mineral exports, improving the efficiency of the minerals marketing process, and enhancing the country’s reputation as a reliable supplier of precious minerals.

 

In his role as Goldbod architect, gyamfi will be responsible for establishing the ghana gold board, a key campaign promise by president mahama.

 

The Goldbod will play a vital role in formalizing the small-scale gold mining sector, generating foreign exchange, and creating jobs for ghanaian youth.

 

Gyamfi’s appointment is seen as a strategic move by the mahama administration to revitalize ghana’s economy. his expertise in law, environmental science, and economic policy makes him an ideal candidate for the dual role.

 

“We are confident that sammy gyamfi’s experience and expertise will be invaluable in driving ghana’s economic growth,” said felix kwakye ofosu, acting spokesperson to president Mahama.

 

“His appointment demonstrates the president’s commitment to delivering on his campaign promises and creating a prosperous ghana for all.”

 

The Goldbod, once established, will work closely with stakeholders, including small-scale miners, civil society organizations, and government agencies, to ensure that ghana’s gold resources are managed sustainably and responsibly.

 

Gyamfi’s success in establishing the Goldbod and leading the PMMC will be crucial in achieving the government’s economic goals, including increasing revenue from mineral exports, creating jobs, and reducing poverty.
