Africa Prosperity Dialogues 2025 Set to Kick Off in Accra, Ghana

The Africa Prosperity Dialogues (APD) 2025, a premier event aimed at driving economic integration and prosperity in Africa, is set to kick off on January 30, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre in Accra, Ghana.

Under the theme “Delivering Africa’s Single Market through Infrastructure: Invest. Connect. Integrate,” the event will bring together over 3,000 participants from 46 countries, including heads of state, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and development partners.

The three-day event, organized by the Africa Prosperity Network (APN) in collaboration with the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat, will feature a series of breakfast meetings, workshops, presentations, and panel discussions focused on critical areas and challenges aligned with this year’s theme.

 

Interacting with the media at its press briefing held on Monday, 27th January, 2025, Sidig Faroug El Toum, CEO of the Africa Prosperity Network indicated that, this year’s event seeks to champion infrastructure and development across the continent.

“We hope to see significant agreements signed among heads and leaders of organizations and partner nations during the event, which will benefit Ghana and the rest of the continent,” he notes.

Meanwhile Rui Pedro Afonso Livramento, Chief of Staff at the AfCFTA Secretariat, emphasized the importance of infrastructure development in realizing the AfCFTA vision of a single integrated market.

“The Africa Prosperity Dialogue plays a crucial role in advancing the implementation of the AfCFTA and unlocking its full potential to drive Africa’s economic transformation,” he said.

The APD 2025 is poised to generate valuable insights and momentum to accelerate the shared vision of a prosperous and integrated Africa.

Some of the key topics to be discussed during the event include:

– Infrastructure development and financing
– Trade facilitation and customs reform
– Digital transformation and innovation
– Private sector development and entrepreneurship
– Regional integration and cooperation

The event will also feature a number of high-level speakers, including African heads of state, ministers, and industry leaders.
