Ghana Water Ltd (GWL) has successfully restored water supply to the Ho Municipality, following a swift and decisive response to a breakdown at the Kpeve Water Abstraction Plant.
Within 48 hours, GWL’s technical teams worked tirelessly to implement a short-term solution, ensuring that essential service institutions received tanker services.
The restoration of water supply is a testament to GWL’s commitment to ensuring uninterrupted water services to its customers.
The company’s Managing Director, Hon. Adam Mutawakilu, outlined a comprehensive plan to address the breakdown, which included the deployment of technical teams and the provision of tanker services.
GWL has also procured two new pumps, expected to arrive by the end of March, as a medium-term solution to prevent similar disruptions in the future.
In line with the government’s vision of ‘Water for All’, GWL is undertaking strategic long-term measures to address the growing water demand-supply disparity.
The planned expansion of the Kpeve Water Treatment Plant aims to enhance capacity and ensure sustainable water provision for the Ho Municipality and surrounding communities.
