PRINPAG Congratulates New Government Communications Team

The Private Newspapers and Online News Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG) has congratulated Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu and Shamima Muslim on their appointments as Minister of State responsible for Government Communications and Deputy Government Spokesperson respectively.

In a statement issued by PRINPAG, the association expressed its confidence in the ability of the duo to effectively manage government communications, given their vast experience in the field.

“We are delighted to congratulate Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu and Shamima Muslim on their appointments,” said Jeorge Wilson Kingson, Executive Secretary of PRINPAG.

“We are confident that their experience and expertise will be brought to bear in addressing the challenges facing Ghana’s media landscape.”

PRINPAG has pledged its support for the new Government Communications team and has urged them to champion media-friendly policies, support capacity building for journalists, and enhance access to information.

“We look forward to working closely with the new Government Communications team to promote a free, responsible, and vibrant media in Ghana,” said Andrew Edwin Arthur, President of PRINPAG.

“We urge them to prioritize the welfare and safety of journalists, and to foster a culture of transparency and accountability in government communications.”

The association has also called on the government to ensure that its communication team remains accessible to journalists and fosters a culture of responsiveness.

“We believe that effective government communications are critical to promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance in Ghana,” said Kingson.

“We look forward to working with the new Government Communications team to achieve these goals.”
