In a bid to empower young minds and foster a sense of global citizenship, the Learning Tree Foundation is launching the UN Kids Summit.
This innovative initiative aims to bring together children from Ghana, representing all 54 African countries, to showcase their knowledge, cultural heritage, and creativity.
Slated for June 20th, the summit promises to be an engaging and enriching experience for its young participants.
According to Rosemary Osei Kuffour, founder of the Learning Tree Foundation, the event is designed to provide a platform for children to express themselves, build confidence, and develop essential life skills.
“The UN Kids Summit is more than just an event – it’s a movement to empower African children and inspire them to become active citizens,” Mrs. Osei Kuffkur explained.
“By providing a platform for children to showcase their talents and creativity, we hope to inspire a new generation of leaders, thinkers, and change-makers,” she stressed.
The summit will feature a range of activities, including presentations, exhibitions, and a diplomacy session.
Giving details of the Summit, she explained that the children will participate in a corporate dinner, learning etiquette, and interacting with guests during the diplomacy session.
This unique experience aims to teach children the importance of diplomacy, communication, and teamwork.
By targeting children between the ages of 6 and 16, the summit hopes to address concerns about screen time and encourage children to conduct research and develop positive solutions to societal problems.
As Mrs. Rosemary Osei Kuffour emphasized, “We need to create a sense of belonging for our children, a good belonging that will guide them towards a positive destiny.”
The Learning Tree Foundation invites parents, educators, and stakeholders to support this innovative initiative and empower African children to become confident, knowledgeable, and active citizens.
