Aspiring parliamentary candidate for Ledzokuku, Mr. Bernard Martei Korley (popularly known as BMK), has organized a special Easter feast for the Teshie Widows Association and donated a sum of GHS10,000 to support their welfare.

Speaking on the sidelines of the BMK Easter Feast, Mr. Korley emphasized the importance of parental responsibility, noting that neglect often leaves widows facing severe hardships.

He described the event as the beginning of a long-term commitment to bring joy and relief to widows in the community.

“This feast will become a regular engagement with the Teshie Widows Association. Our aim is to continuously put smiles on their faces,” he said.

He further announced that future editions of the event would include free health screenings and various sporting activities to promote well-being and togetherness.

Reflecting on the significance of Easter, Mr. Korley highlighted its meaning for Christians around the world.

“Easter is a time of celebration, reflection, and renewal. It commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ and reminds us of hope and new beginnings,” he said.

He also referenced Easter symbols, such as the cross representing Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection, and eggs symbolizing new life and the empty tomb.

At the close of the event, Mr. Korley presented a cash donation of GHS10,000 to the association and pledged continued support in the years ahead.
