Hon. Felix Akwetey Okley, the Member of Parliament for the Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfrom Constituency (BNAC), has assured local residents that this deteriorating stretch will be improved and maintained beginning this weekend.
He made this announcement to drivers and commuters following an inspection of the road alongside Hon. Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, the National Coordinator for DRIP, on Wednesday.
Accompanied by officials from the Ga South District Assembly and J.A. Plant Pool, they traversed the damaged road from the Old Barrier taxi rank, through Downtown, and up to Puma.
The National DRIP Coordinator confirmed that he had directed the engineers at J.A. Plant Pool to temporarily allocate seven qualified machines and truck operators for this urgent task.

Hon. Akwetey expressed his commitment to covering the initial costs of the necessary materials for the project.
The District Coordinating Director responded by promising to convene an urgent meeting with the works and road engineers to address all relevant issues, ensuring the successful completion of this project.
The Atta Mills Highway serves as a vital link for communities such as Aplaku, Bortianor, Kokrobite, Oshihe, Tuba, Nyanyano, and Fetteh, connecting them to the main Mallam/Weija Highway at Old Barrier.
