The National DRIP Secretariat has initiated a comprehensive inspection of all machinery across the nation in preparation for the effective launch of their 2025 work program.
During the inspection of the DRIP machines located in the Obuasi East and West Municipal assemblies, the National Coordinator, Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, expressed concern over the inadequate infrastructure for storing the equipment and urged the assemblies to promptly construct shelters for them.
He also criticized the insufficient maintenance of the machines and encouraged the new operators and district coordinators to improve the maintenance culture.
Furthermore, he questioned the district coordinating directors and road engineers regarding the failure to properly clean the machines after use before they were left idle for extended periods.
He instructed the officials to take all unwashed machines to washing bays without delay.
Accompanying the National Coordinator were Samuel Aboagye, the Deputy Director General of NADMO, and ING. Danquah, the Ashanti regional liaison of J.A Plant Pool.
The inspection aims to ensure effective machinery management and prepare for the upcoming work program.
