Head coach of Legon Cities FC, Maxwell Konadu has set sight on causing another upset against Hearts of Oak in the second round of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.

The Royals will open the second round of the season against the defending champions in Accra – a side they to a goalless draw in the first round at the same venue.

Legon Cities finished the first round on an impressive footing – sweeping eight points in their last four games.

The eight points haul pushed them into 12th position with 21 points after the first round of matches.

Maxwell Konadu said: “Against Hearts of Oak we need to sit back, reflect over what went wrong in the first round and make sure that we approach the game very very seriously.

“Because we cant get here and begin to go down again. “For the past four games, we’ve been consistent, draw, win, draw, win so we want to continue like that until we end the season on a good note. “So I have to say congratulations to the entire playing body for getting us this far.

“At least it’s not that bad for the first round for a team like Legon Cities. “We can only do better in the second round.

“So we will reflect on it, look into all the games, what we were not doing right and make sure that we do the right thing in the second round.” Maxwell Konadu told StarsTimes.

Legon Cities have won five matches, drawn six and lost six times this season.
