John Dramani Mahama, flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has said the presidency headed by Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is the epitome of fake stories.
He has maintained that the Akufo-Addo administration has misrepresented facts and spread same on social media since assuming office in 2017.
According to Mahama, the Jubilee House –seat of government –has now become the “headquarters of misinformation”, saying the office has twisted facts than any other outfit in the country.
His comments stem from a recent accusation by the President saying the opposition NDC has purportedly spread falsehood about him since 2008 to create disaffection for the public.
At the Ghana Report Summit in Accra Thursday, August 01, 2024, the president indicated that the recent ‘Agyapadie’ document which has made the airwaves for some months now is part of the misinformation and disinformation from the NDC to dent his reputation.
However, John Mahama has asked the President not to look far if he is looking for where misinformation spearheaded.
During his address to party supporters in the Upper East Region, the former President urged President Akufo-Addo to first address the stories that are cooked from his office before pointing accusing fingers at others.
“The President condemned misinformation and cited the ‘Agyapadie’ document as an example. However, what the President might not realize is that his office, the Flagstaff House, is the headquarters of misinformation,” said the NDC’s flag bearer.
