WACEE’19 to Harness Innovations for Sustainable Future of Energy & Environment

In an effort to provide a tailor-made training program and exhibition, a three (3) day conference that will highlight important discussions on harnessing innovations for sustainable future of our energy and environment will this year take-off in November06 to 08, 2019 at the Accra International Conference Center, Ghana.

The 7th West African Clean Energy and Environment Trade Fair and Conference 2019 (WACEE’19) under the theme: “WACEE goes green” will bring together Industry experts from three focus industries, namely Clean Energy, Circular Economy and Water.

Since its inception in 2012, the West African Clean Energy & Environment Trade Fair and Conference has developed into one of the most relevant meet-ups for renewable energy and environment topics in West Africa.

Speaking to thenewindependentonline.com during the press launch of the WACEE Challenge, the Project Manager of the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Ghana, Mr. Andrew N. M Aryee indicated that, the refined structure of WACEE’19 expressed to bring together over 1,500 participants, more than 30 top-level speakers and about 40 exhibitors who have keen interests in exploring opportunities in the West African energy and environment ecosystem such as Automotive & Transport, Biofuel & Agriculture, Energy Management & Efficiency, Energy Storage, E-waste, Innovative Package as well as Construction and more.

With regard to the WACEE Challenge, he explained that, it is an idea content aimed at promoting innovative ideas that addresses challenges in the West African energy and environment ecosystem.

‘WACEE challenge offers an exclusive opportunity for companies, start-ups, ngos, schools, academic and research institutions working within water, circular economy or clean energy in West Africa to pitch on an international platform in front of experts, business leaders and investors’, he elaborated.

Adding that, those who will be selected will win a free booth at the WACEE’19 to showcase and further develop their ideas.

The selection of the WACEE Challenge 2019 will be done in 2 phases where phase 1, participants will submit a one page summary and short video, thus, a 2 minute maximum clearly defining problem(s) that have identified and their proposing groundbreaking solutions latest by Monday, 10 June,2019.

Whilst the phase 2 is where selected participants are given the opportunity to present a more detailed concept and pitch their proposed solutions before a panel of judges that, the winners from each category will be invited to attend the WACEE’19, receive a stand for free as well as the opportunity to present their business model on stage to the numerous visitors.

Side events of the WACEE’19 coming off in November, 2019 will include German Solar Training Week, Water Week and Circular Economy Platform.
