In fulfilling his promise to the private schools in the Efutu Constituency, the Member of Parliament (MP), Hon. Alexandra Afenyo-Markin under his One Teacher One Laptop initiative has donated 105 High sperk HP laptops to boost educational levels in the constituency.
This comes barely a month ago after donating 606 HP laptops to the public basic schools in his constituency.
In addition to that, also donated 1200 desks to schools in his constituency to enhance eduction.
Speaking at the ceremony to handover the laptops to the beneficiary teachers, the philanthropist MP indicated that, he will continue to support the education in both the public and private sector in his constituency.
“We want Efutu Constituency to be one of the best when it comes to education”, he stressed.
In ensuring the realization of this desire, he revealed that, public funds will be available to both the public and private teachers who desires and are due for further studies.
Furthermore, revealed that, soon, an utra modern library will be constructed to serve the children in the constituency as a way of ensuring these children can compete with their peers in any part of the country.
Hon. Afenyo-Markin therefore advised beneficiary teachers to put the laptops into a good use, hence “resist any temptation to do the irregular stuffs with the machines, use them to impact knowledge”.
Meanwhile, as we gear towards elections, the law maker used the occasion to call on all and sundry to campaign in decorum.
Also encourage the youth, market women, government workers to listen to visionary ideas of these contestant politicians, hence vote wisely on ideals of developing the EfutuConstituency.
