Ahead of Arnold Classic Africa : California Fitness Center Supports Black Muscles

California Fitness center has come to the support of the national bodybuilding team of Ghana the Black Muscles by offering its gym to be used for free.

California Fitness Centre, which is considered as one of the best fitness centers that can boost of modern fitness equipment in Ghana is located on the spintex road in Accra.

The black muscles are preparing for their participation in this year’s Arnold Classic Africa to be hosted by South Africa from the 15th to the 17th of May.

To ensure te team is well prepared and trained, the management of California Fitness have decided to allow the team to use its well equipped gym facilities to get themselves ready to participate in the competition.

This is believed to be a move aimed at giving the Black Muscles the support they need towards the tournament to be held in Johannesburg.

Speaking to www.thenewindependentonline.com Sports Desk, the president of the Ghana Bodybuilding and Fitness Association expressed his gratitude to the management of California Fitness for their support.

Indicating that, “each year we struggle for the needed support to participate in international espexially support in terms of cash, flight, accommodation, feeding, preparation, etc, so we are very much grateful to them for their kind support”.

To him, this grsture will go a long way to compel the tesm to sin some laurels at the torunament.

Therefore called on other cooperate bodies and individuals to emulate California fitness Center gesture and come to their aid as they prepare to represent Ghana in the biggest multi-sport event held in Africa.

Stressing that, Ghana always does well in the Arnold citing the same event in 2018, wherr 6 athletes represented Ghana.

These all 6 athletes he revealed won medals that, the overall winner of the event was a Ghanaian; Cyril Kofi Adja.

Last year, 9 Ghanaian athletes comprising of 6 male bodybuilders, 1 Men’s Physique and 2 female bikini athletes made Ghana proud by winning 8 medals; 3 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze and 1 6th placed

This year, Ghana will be represented by most of the nation’s finest in the sport, the black muscles, which comprise of 9 male bodybuilders, 5 men’s physique, 5 female athletes and 5 executives.
