Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), the umbrella of media practitioners in Ghana is set to hold its National and Regional elections in the coming days.
In a press release signed by the Chairman of the Elections Committee, Osei Kwadwo Adow, Esq and copied to www.thenewindependentonline.com stated that, per Article 43 of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), it is imperative for the Association to elect its National and Regional executive officers as the current executive officers tenure is due to expire.
This according to the statement is to champion free and fair elections, hence enhance the transparency and effective running of the day to day affairs of the Association as it seeks the wellfare and being of its members.
Detail of the arrangements for the national and regional elections shall be communicated to members in coming days.
The Elections Committee however urged members to observe all laid down safety protocols regarding to fight of COVID-19 in all their engagements.
