Zoomlion Ghana Limited, pacesetters in waste management has assured the government of Ghana of its readiness to embark on the next phase of disinfection exercise across the country as schools reopens next week.
The President of the Republic, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on the 3rd of January, 2021 announced the reopening of basic, Junior High, Senior High Schools and universities across the country during his 21st Nation’s Address (updates on Coronavirus) yesterday, 3rd January,2021.
And directed that, all schools from basic, Junior and Senior High as well universities be disinfected as part of measures to ensure the school environment is safe for pupils and students who are returning to school this month, January,2021.
Therefore, the next phase of disinfection exercise to pave way for the re-opening of schools is expected to commence on Wednesday, 6th January, 2021 where schools across the country would be disinfected by tge giant in waste management, Zoomlion Ghana Limited.
And the exercise is expected to be completed before the re-opening date of 15th January,2021.
Speaking at the Fleet and Equipment Exhibition of the company under the theme: ‘Making Ghana Safer and Healthier’ at the Independence Square, Accra today, the Managing Director of Zoomlion Ghana Limited pointed out, the displayed fleets of vehicles (atomisers) spraying guns, drones among others indicates that, they are ready to embark on the next phase of the disinfection exercise of schools ahead of the reopening of these schools across the country.
To her, Zoomlion Ghana Limited is committed to goverenment efforts to tackle the pandemic, Coronavirus.
Adding that, with these State of Art equipments, efficient and competent workforce, they are up to the task and assured government through the Ministry of Water and Sanitation of executing a brilliant job.
The Managing Director of Zoomlion Ghana Limited(ZL), Madam Gloria used the ocassion to praise other stakeholders who supported in the previous phases of the Disinfection campaigns.
“Without the support of these stakeholders, the exercise would not have been successful, therefore we are grateful and says thank you”, he aknowledged.
On her part, the Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, Mrs. Cecilia Abena Daapah thanked the giant waste management, Zoomlion Ghana Limited for their dedicated and commited services throughout last year to date.
And also expressed her gratitude and thanks for partnering government to fight the pandemic, Coronavirus since it outbreak in March,2021.
Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, Mrs. Cecilia Abena Daapah also thanked the security services for their services throughout the various disinfection and fumigation exercise across the country and called on them to continue to be professional in their duties.
