Two Notorious Adult Phone Thieves Busted.

The Tesano Divisional Police has arrested Two suspects, Emmanuel Noi, 64, and Christopher William Nii Offei 49, for stealing phones on Monday 8th March, 2021 at the Tip Toe Lane, Kwame Nkrumah Circle, suburb of Accra.
Comfirming the incident to www.thenewindependentonline.com the Greater Accra Regional Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Afia Tenge explained that the two suspects entered a mobile phone shop at Tip Toe Lane, Kwame Nkrumah Circle, under the pretext of buying a phone.
“Christopher William Nii Offei engaged the shop attendant in a conversation as a ploy to distract his attention whiles Emmanuel Noi stole the phone(s) in the process”, ASP Afia Tenge narrated.
Fortunately, the shop owner, who was monitoring the CCTV camera at the time had taken keen notice of them caught them red handed.
This is as a result of after a similar footage of their activities went viral some time ago which captured the suspects using the same modus to steal a laptop from a shop on the Spintex road.
Meanwhile in the course of interrogation, it came to light that the two were again captured on other CCTV cameras for stealing Laptops and phones from electronic n phone shops in Osu, Kasoa and Tema, ASP Afia Tenge noted.
The Greater Accra Regional Command PRO, Assistant Supritendant of Police (ASP) Afia Tenge cautioned and adviced all phone shop owners to monitor the various CCTV cameras in their shops as well be more vigilant.
“If possible shop owners should have two attendants at the shop so that when such people enter the shops they can monitor their movements”, she stressed.
The suspects are currently in Police custody assisting with investigation and would be processed to court at the right time.
