TrueCare Ghana Poised To Feed Over 2, 800 Needy People this Festive Season

As part of its efforts to help put a smile on the faces of the needy and the vulnerable in the country, TrueCare Ghana, a non-governmental organization is poised in continuing its Community feeding Project.
The Community Feeding exercise slated for 4th December 2021, forms part of the foundation’s commitment to reaching out to the less privileged at Madina, Frafraha, and nearby communities.
Briefing the media ahead of the Community Feeding Project, the Executive Director of TrueCare Ghana Mr. Saint Ofosu Koranteng indicated that, the Foundation has been running the feeding initiative as one of its flagship projects over the years in collaboration with the local authorities and traditional leaders in respective communities.

“The Foundation will share food items to about 300- 400 people per community. By the end of the exercise, we shall be feeding over 2, 800 needy people.
Currently, we are also running a campaign dubbed: “Make A Needy Family’s Xmas Memorable.” Basically, the project is aimed at supporting vulnerable families with food, clothes, and cash this festive season.
“Under this project, we shall reach out to the needy families in the Ayi Mensa, Aburi, Kitase, Abokobi, and Danfa neighbourhoods,” he explained.
He added saying “We are embarking on this project to help complement government’s effort in addressing hunger and malnutrition which has a devastating effect on human health”.
Believing that, this will help in the country’s quest to achieve Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2 which speaks of sustainable solutions to end hunger in all its forms by 2030 and to achieve food security.
“The aim is to ensure that everyone everywhere has enough good-quality food, hence a healthy life,” Mr. Ofosu Koranteng elucidated.

An enquirer desk he noted will be set up to allow people to share their grievances and challenges.
“As an NGO, this engagement would be extremely useful to us in our decision-making as we strive to improve the lives of the less privileged in our societies”, he acknowledged.
Adding that,” it will assist us to develop tailored solutions that will alleviate the challenges confronting them.
Mr. Ofosu Koranteng, however, entreated other corporate bodies, faith-based organizations to fervently support the initiative to help improve the socio-economic status of the vulnerable in society.
True are Ghana is a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) registered with the aim to support the less privileged in the society.
