Comoros 0-1 Gabon: Panthers pip AFCON debutants without top striker, Pierre Aubameyang

The COVID-19 issues does not look to have unsettled the camp of the Panthers as they started their opener against Comoros on a good note. Gabon did not look threatening enough after scoring the opener while the debutants struggled to even deal with any little attack of the Brazilians. It ended 1-0 for Gabon at half time.

Much was not done by both sides with Gabon running away with a 1-0 victory. The group now has Morocco and Gabon on three points with Ghana and Comoros with no points in the opening game. The Black Stars of Ghana earlier lost by 1-0 to the Atlas Lions of Morocco in the first group C game at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium.
