Accra Hearts of Oak made a big capture in the second Ghana transfer window as the seek to aylugmwnt their set up in the ongoing season.
The Phobians have struggled to replace Congolese left back, Raddy Ovouka who has joined American club, New Mexico on loan with an option to make his stay at the club permanent. His place has since be filled by former Liberty Professionals left back, William Dankyi who has not performed badly. Head coach, Samuel Boadu however deemed it fit to still strengthen the left side of the lateral with the acquisition of Ebusua wide man, Denis Korsah. The intelligent left back has signed for the 21 time Ghana Premier League holders until the end of 2025.
He will be a perfect addition to the 2000 CAF Champions League winners as they seek to defend the treble title won last season at the expense of rivals, Asante Kotoko. Hearts of Oak clocked 61 points as against Asante Kotoko’s 57 to win their first title in over a decade and the 21st in all last season. The rumour mill had it that former Black Stars midfielder, Sulley Muntari has signed a one year deal to join the 2004 CAF Confederation Cup winners. The former Inter Milan midfielder has been clubless for sometime now and will seek to wind down his glittering career with the 2001 CAF Super Cup winners at age 37.
Muntari’s move to Hearts of Oak is however yet to be officially announced as that of Denis Korsah whose capture is now public. It remains to be seen if the former Portsmouth midfielder will surely join the millennium champions in the ongoing season.
