Aduana Stars’ firepower have somewhat been doused in recent times having tasted avoidable defeats.
The two time Ghana Premier League champions have been a pale shadow of themselves – losing their last three premier league games.
They have lost to Dreams FC, Bechem United and Bibiani Gold Stars which has seen them sink out of the top four of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.
The “Ogya Boys” started the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season on an impressive note – claiming eight points from their first five games.
Their biggest fall in those five games was a 3-1 week two home loss to King Faisal at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.
Their biggest win however was a 5-1 thumping of premier league returnees, Real Tamale United in week four at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.
One defeat they will quickly want to forget is their first ever loss at home to league leaders, Asante Kotoko.
The Porcupine Warriors broke the long standing record of having not won at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park since 2008 when they pinned the “Ogya Boys” by 2-0.
Fast forward to the latter part of the first round, Aduana Stars have lost three straight games.
They currently lie 6th on the league log with 24 points from 16 matches and will next host Eleven Wonders in week 17 at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Sunday, February 13 at 3:00pm.
Their week 16 away clash against Bibiani Gold Stars ended 1-0 at the Duns Park last Sunday.
