Okrah and Anabila are key to Bechem United’s performance – Kassim Mingle

Head coach of Bechem United, Kassim Mingle Ocansey has praised the impact of experienced hands, Augustine Okrah and Latif Anabila after holding Berekum Chelsea to a 1-1 draw at the Golden City Park on Friday.

The duo were let go by current league leaders and record title holders, Asante Kotoko last season but have found solace with the Hunters.

Okrah, 28 , despite overtures from several clubs, returned to his former side where he notched the top scorer award in 2013/14 league season.

The Hunters roped in Anabila who was released by the Porcupine Warriors following an unimpressive debut outing.

The pair has helped steer Bechem United into second position on the 2021/22 league log with 30 points from 17 first round matches.

Kasim Mingle said of the two: “He [Augustine Okrah] is a mature footballer and normally when he is in our game, a lot of the defenders are afraid of him.

“So when he moves, he takes two defenders away so he creates another opportunity for other players to capitalize on it. “So he is helping us a lot; he and Anabila [Latif].

“You know Anabila [Latif] he talks to the boys, he coaches them on the field of play. “He coaches them a lot.

“So they have added a lot of things to the team.” Kassim Mingle Ocansey told StarTimes.

Augustine Okrah has already scored 8 times this season and will be eying another top scorer gong with the second round set to start in no time. Anabila has produced great display this term as the live wire in the Hunters’ midfield.
