Written by ...

Head coach of Real Tamale United, Shaibu Tanko will look to correct his side’s poor scoring challenge come the second round.

The Premier League returnees started the season on a good note but have scored 18 goals and conceded 21 times after the first round of matches.

They sit 11th on the league table with 20 points and Shaibu Tanko says he must right the wrongs for a better second round of games.

“It was a fair representation of the match,” Shaibu Tanko told StarTimes it their goalless against Hearts of Oak.

“[I’m not really surprised about the result] because they are new players so this is their first outing so I wouldn’t be surprised to have seen what I saw.

“Our scoring abilities are our challenges, now we are working on it. “Very soon when the [second round] starts, you will see the output of the team.” Shaibu Tanko added.

Real Tamale United returned to the top flight after eight years of Division One League.

They will journey down South to the Accra Sports Stadium for the opening of their second round encounter against Great Olympics with which they shared a 1-1 draw in the first round opener in Tamale.
