Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder, Abdul Aziz Nurudeen has admitted that rival club, Asante Kotoko is doing well but remains upbeat their chances of victory.

The Phobians host their bitter rivals in a week seven outstanding fixture on Sunday, February 20 at the Accra Sports to draw the curtains down on the first round of matches for the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.

Hearts of Oak who trail Kotoko by 12 points need a win badly to whittle down the gap but the Porcupine Warriors are bent on stretching the difference ahead of second place Bechem United.

The record Ghana premier league holders have claimed 11 wins, three draws and just two losses this season.

Hearts midfielder, Abdul Aziz Nurudeen admits to Kotoko’s impeccable form but remains sure of victory on Sunday.

“We know Asante Kotoko is doing well in the league but Hearts of Oak will beat them on Sunday.” Abdul Aziz Nurudeen said as quoted by Shaban Mohammed.

Hearts of Oak, 21 time league champions have not churned out the needed output as expected by their fans – collecting six wins, six draws and four defeats. They have 24 points seated in 8th from 16 games.

The 2001 CAF Super Cup winners might want to place emphasis on the FA Cup of which they are into the round 16 after whipping second tier club, Golden Kicks 5-2 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
