Ghana’s two biggest clubs, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko will clash on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Phobians will host the Porcupine Warriors at the Nation’s Wembley to draw curtains on the first round of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.
Hearts of Oak have not put up the best performance this season having recorded mixed results.
Hearts of Oak won the treble last season but have been far from impressive this term where they have clocked just six wins, six draws and four defeats.
They have raked home 24 points in the process to sitting on the 8th spot on the league log with an outstanding week seven fixture against rivals, Asante Kotoko.
Talking about Asante Kotoko, they have been the best side this season where they sit top of the league table with 36 points from 16 games.
They have clocked 11 wins, three draws and just two losses this season with an outstanding clash against Hearts of Oak on Sunday.
The two clubs all need the three points badly with Kotoko needing to break their eight year league trophy drought.
Hearts of Oak need the three points to whittle down the points gap as they aim to get closer to the top four chase.
