To redeem the image of the Presidency the President of the Republic, His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo has terminated the appointment of the Minister of State at the Finance Ministry Charles Adu Boahen.
This is in connection with a yet-to-be released documentary by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas today, 14th November,2022 at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC), Accra, the capital City of Ghana
This was contained in a press release issued and signed by Eugene Arhin, Director of Communications at the Presidency.
The Press Release indicated that, “After being made aware of the allegations levelled against the Minister in the exposé, “Galamsey Economy”, the President spoke to Mr. Adu Boahen, after which he took the decision to terminate his appointment, and also to refer the matter to the Special Prosecutor for further investigations.”

Meanwhile, the Vice President of the Republic, Dr. Bawumia has rubbish and denied of being aware of the Minister of State for Finance at the Presidency, Charles Adu Boahen using his name, inter Alia to peddle influence and collect money from supposed investors in the yet-to be aired documentary by investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
