The Parliament of Ghana has been called upon to speedily pass the   Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill to ensure and maintain good moral values in homes and society.

The call by the Advocates for Christ Ghana (A4CG) is in response to numerous calls by the majority of Ghanaians for the legislators to immediately debate and pass the bill before them.

Speaking at a press conference in Accra,  the group’s Chairman, Mr. Edem Senanu emphasized that, the passage of the bill would instill and reinforce the societal values and ethical principles in the society which he believed will enhance the well-being and future of citizens especially the youth and the country at large.

The press conference was to urge Parliament as well as the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and leaders to appreciate and acknowledge the socio-cultural, medical, and scientific facts.

According to Mr. Senanu, LGBTQ+ practices cannot be called fundamental human rights when they are not essential, vital, inherent, and indispensable for all.

To him, “This posture toward people in a same-sex relationship is pervasive across age groups, religious affiliation groups, and urban as well as rural locations”.

In furtherance, studies he indicated show how about 0.5 million people tested by scientists show that there is no evidence for gay genes, and hence what people claim to be inherited genes are un-scientifically proven ideologies adding that what the LGBTQ+ community is fighting for is a right to be who they have chosen to be.

The Advocates for Christ Ghana  Chairman lamented bitterly that, the act would cause public impact in areas such as health, lifestyle, and issues of equality, if not checked.

The above he noted would cause more financial constraints on the well-being and development of citizens and the country.

The current neocolonialist attempt to subjugate and destroy the norms, values, culture, and faith he emphasized should not be allowed adding their actions are a war on all Africans and their way of life.

“It is a disrespectful way of saying that Western cultures, ways of living, and, thinking are far superior to ours”, he lamented.

Mr. Edem Senanu, therefore called on all African States to unite and reject gay acts to ensure the preservation of their culture as Africans which is the pride of the continent.

He said, “We do not have physical space to cater for more other critical developmental needs therefore, we must not consider sponsoring LGBTQ as a driver for development”.

Advocates for Christ Ghana is a growing movement of professionals, parents, pastors, and all Christians seeking to provide a permanent and proactive voice on national issues in Ghana.

With membership of over three hundred (300) members currently spread across Africa, Europe, and the United States of Africa will continue to express its full support and endorsement of the promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill which awaits to be passed into law in the Ghana.
