Papaye Awards Workers For Dedicated Service

The pacesetter in the fast food industry in the country Papaye has awarded its workers for dedication and commitment to duty at a colorful ceremony at the Papaye recreational village at Konkonuru, Aburi in the Eastern Region.

The long service awards range from 5 to 30 years and cover also workers at the Papaye Recreational village which includes cash prizes, certificates, citations, television sets, double door ridges, and deep freezers among others.

Management awarded 48 people for working for 5 years, 4 people for 10 years, 15 for serving the company for the last 15 years 7 for being loyal for over 20 years 4 for working for 25 years of service, and 30 years for various prizes and awards.

Speaking at the workers’ awards day and dinner, the Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Papaye, Mr. Divine Kwadwo Asiedu said the occasion is a testament to the unwavering dedication, commitment, and exceptional service delivery exhibited by workers.

He said the core mandate of management is to recognize and acknowledge hard-working employees and explained that the success story of Papaye cannot be completed without the contribution of employees.

The Group CEO urged workers to renew their commitment to fostering workplace culture, dedication, commitment, and honesty and always apply teamwork to leverage the company to a new level of growth and development to cherish customers.

According to him, Papaye has won several awards as a result of its quality customer service namely Best Fast Food Restaurant, Best Tourism Tax Contributor, CIMG award, Good Corporate Citizen award, and Best CEO awards among others, and has also applied strict regulations in the hospitality industry

Turning the spotlight on the success story of its 30 years of operations, Mr. Asiedu said the company currently employs over 600 staff and has opened branches at Haatso, Spintex, Tema, Tesano, Apenkwa, Abeka Lapaz, Adenta, Dodowa area, West Hills mall vicinity, and Awudome and interestingly announced that the East Legon branch is set to officially open in December this year.

For his part, the Managing Director of Papaye Mr. Emmanuel Woelayoh Tefe said it has been the core mandate to acknowledge and reward staff adding that the gesture will motivate them to strive for excellence and thanked all the awardees.

The Director of Legal at the Labour Commission, Afiba Amihere commended the management and staff of Papaye for the commitment and dedication to duty by workers saying their unflinching support have lead to the growth of the company.

He however express his gratitude to management for setting up a program for the recognition of awarding workers in their respective working endeavor.

For his part, the Greater Accra representative for the Industrial and Commercial Workers Union (ICU), Ernest Otoo Addo challenge other institutions to emulate the example of Papaye in awarding workers, adding that such initiative in an organization motivates staff to work to excellence.
