Taxi drivers at S.C.C in the Weija Gbawe Municipality of the Greater Accra Region demonstrated against a group of alleged National Security officers who demolished their offices at the station on 31st Night.

The drivers, numbering over 200, demonstrated over what they say are landguard activities that have led to the demolition of their office.

The group named one Kwesi Badu, a supposed National Security operative at Jubilee House, and some land guards as those who led the demolition.

In an interview with Adom News, leaders of the S.C.C. taxi station alleged that the said individual, Kwesi Badu, with support from an MP, is terrorizing the community.

The aggrieved leaders at S.C.C Taxi station called on the Member of Parliament for Weija Gbawe Constituency, Tina Mensah, MCE Patrick Kumor, and the IGP to arrest Kwesi Badu and his accomplices for the unlawful act they committed.

Passengers were stranded at the station due to the demonstration and sit-down strike. They also appealed to the drivers to stop the demonstration.

Furthermore, SCC District Police Commander Superintendent Turkson, who received their petition on behalf of Weija-Gbawe MCC, assured the demonstrators to calm down, and the police would make sure that the perpetrators would be arrested and face the law.
