Papaye Opens 10th Branch At East Legon

To serve its cherished customers with quality and healthy food in East Legon, a suburb in Accra and its environs, the number one fast-food in Ghana, Papaye Fast Foods Limited has opened a new branch.

The new branch situated at Vuculizer junction in East Legon in the Greater Accra Region was opened to the general public on 15th February 2024.

Papaye, which has become a household name, already has branches in Osu, Tesano / Apenkwa, Spintex, Tema, Lapaz, Awudome, Haatso, Frafraha, and Weija.

Touring of the New premises

Giving the humble beginning of Papaye Fast Food, the Executive Chairman, Dr. Samir Kalmoni revealed that, the household fast food brand, Papaye started from a tabletop operation with less than 10 workers, that housed the first branch.

He further said, over 30 years, the company with a staff strength of over 600 is witnessing the 10th branch at East Legon.

Speaking at the opening ceremony at the premises of the new branch, Dr. Samir Kalmoni indicated that the company’s success has been made possible through the cooperation of governments, the media, consumers, customers, and the hardworking staff.

“As we embark on this exciting journey, our mission remains firm to provide not only a delightful delicious meal experience but also to contribute positively to the community. We are committed to being responsible corporate citizens, supporting local initiatives, and fostering partnerships that benefit us all”.

He averred that Papaye per their policy, has employed about 60 percent of their workforce at the East Legon branch from the community, to help curb the issue of unemployment.

Capable Staff ready to serve the general public

“I also personally want to take a moment to express our gratitude to our Chairman, Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong, who doubles as our landlord for his cooperation, and the incredible East Legon community leaders who have welcomed us with open arms. We wish to assure you, that we will continue to strive for excellence and exceed the expectations of our guests”, he noted.

In his welcome address, the Group CEO, Mr. Divine Kwadwo Aseidu expressed his deepest gratitude to the dedicated team led by Dr. Samir Kalmoni, the vision bearer, and the hardworking technical team led by Samer Kalmoni for making it possible to ensure the opening of East Legon branch.

“Their hard work, creativity, and unwavering commitment have been the driving force behind the creation of this beautiful space”, he reiterated.

He emphasized that Papaye believes in the power of shared moments and the joy that comes from a delicious meal adding that “This branch is more than just a place to dine; it’s a space where friendships will be forged, families will come together, and celebrations will be embraced as we are committed to being more than just a restaurant”.
