In respect of the newly hiked electricity tariff for Band A, the Honourable Minister for Power sat to address the issue.

Bayo Adelabu, the minister for power, Federal Republic of Nigeria, on Friday, April 5, assessed the public on the trending issue of electricity tariff which has seen a drastic hike in charges.

Nigerians home and abroad have been fuming at the unjust reform by the NERC to increase charges by more than 200%.
While addressing the matter, Bayo Adelabu condemned the management culture of Nigerians where he accused innocent citizens of wastage.

“We don’t have consumption management in this country. Some people leave their AC and freezers on for days because we are not paying enough for the power.” He said during his media briefing.

Nigerians have however received the minister’s assertions with a vile rage, hitting back at his audacity to gaslight patriotic Nigerians.

The new reform affects only consumers who enjoy 20-24 hours of electricity supply daily.
