CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe Begins 2-Day Football Developmental Journey In ANGOLA

Dr. Patrice Motsepe, President of Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has started his two-day working tour in Angola, where he met with Rui Falcão, Minister of Sport, Artur de Almeida e Silva, President of the Angolan Football Federation, and other football stakeholders in the nation.

The CAF President will have an early meeting with President João Lourenço of Angola on Saturday, April 13, 2024.

Veron Mosengo-Omba, the General Secretary of CAF, is with Dr. Motsepe. They have traveled to four nations this week: Equatorial Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Morocco, and São Tomé and Príncipe.

Dr. Motsepe spent Friday speaking about the value of partnerships at meetings with a wide range of stakeholders, including the Angolan Football Federation Executive Committee, the nation’s football leadership, football clubs, and the business community.

Dr. Motsepe met Rui Falcão, the Angolan minister of sports, earlier on Friday in Luanda. He was commended by Dr. Motsepe for his enthusiasm and dedication to the growth of football in Angola.

“It is a major occasion for Angola to have the CAF President here,” Minister Falcão declared.

“President Motsepe, you are someone new. You’re attempting to take a fresh approach for Africa. We are grateful for that”, he added.
