Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in the education sector are calling for robust accountability measures to ensure the government fulfills its commitments to improving education in Ghana.
This call to action emerged at a recent CSOs Thematic Forum on Education, organized by STAR-Ghana Foundation in Accra.
The forum provided a platform for CSOs to coordinate their efforts and present a unified front on issues affecting the education sector.

Education CSOs Demand Strong Accountability Measures from Government
Raymond Danso, Manager of the Right to Social Services Portfolio at STAR-Ghana Foundation, emphasized the need for CSOs to harmonize their positions on improving education in Ghana.
Danso highlighted the critical role of civil society in holding duty-bearers accountable and called for stronger collaboration between CSOs and policymakers to drive meaningful education reforms.
The forum discussed key areas, including strengthening civil society’s role in monitoring education policies and reforms, leveraging evidence-based advocacy to improve education service delivery, and enhancing partnerships for effective policy implementation.
By working together, CSOs and policymakers can address the challenges facing Ghana’s education sector and ensure that the government fulfills its commitments to improving education.
