Dutch giants Ajax have secured Southampton winger Kamaldeen Sulemana on a season-long loan.
The deal includes the option to buy for 20 million euros at the end of the term.
Kamaldeen, who joined Southampton from Rennes in 2023 for around 23 million euros, has struggled with injuries, limiting his impact.
Despite making 44 appearances for the Saints, he has only managed to score twice and provide four assists.
At just 22 years old, Kamaldeen Sulemana has shown glimpses of his potential, but a series of injuries has kept him out of action so far this season.
His move to Ajax comes after Steven Bergwijn’s departure to Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad created space for the Ghanaian winger at the Amsterdam club.
Ajax represents a fresh opportunity for Kamaldeen to rediscover his form and fulfil the promise he once showed.
He becomes the eighth Ghanaian to play for Ajax, a testament to the club’s ongoing investment in talent from Ghana.
With Ajax’s support, Kamaldeen will hope to reignite his career, contributing significantly and perhaps securing a permanent move if he impresses during his loan spell.
