“Reloaded Edition” to bring together members across Ghana, UK and USA under the theme “Purple Steps, Healthy Hearts, One MOGA 2.0”
Accra, Ghana — The Mfantsiman Old Girls’ Association (MOGA) has announced plans for its annual National Health Walk, with this year’s edition set to take place simultaneously across multiple cities in Ghana and abroad on June 27, 2026.
Dubbed the “Reloaded Edition,” the event is expected to bring together hundreds of MOGA members and supporters under the theme, “Purple Steps, Healthy Hearts, One MOGA 2.0,” as part of efforts to promote preventive healthcare, wellness and community engagement.
According to the National Executive Committee of the association, the Health Walk remains a key feature on MOGA’s annual calendar and forms part of its broader commitment to encouraging healthy lifestyles among members while strengthening bonds within the alumni network.

This year’s event will be held across several chapters, including Accra, Takoradi, Tarkwa, Cape Coast, Winneba/Swedru, Koforidua and Kumasi, as well as international chapters in the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
Organisers say the simultaneous, multi-city approach reflects the association’s commitment to prioritising women’s health and wellbeing while fostering a sense of unity among members worldwide.
In Ghana, participants in Accra will gather at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, while other chapters will converge at designated venues including Jackson’s Park in Koforidua, the KNUST Wellness Centre in Kumasi, Agona Swedru Government Hospital, Mfantsipim School Junction in Cape Coast, Takoradi Technical University Park and the T&A Stadium in Tarkwa.
A major highlight of the event will be the provision of free health screening services at all participating locations. The screenings will include blood pressure checks, blood glucose testing, body mass index (BMI) assessments and eye examinations.

Participants will also have access to wellness booths and interactive sessions with qualified healthcare professionals aimed at promoting preventive healthcare and healthy living.
Organisers say the health-focused activities align with MOGA’s mission of equipping women with the knowledge and tools needed to take charge of their personal wellbeing.
The 2026 edition will also introduce several new attractions designed to enhance participation and create a family-friendly atmosphere. Among them are inter-house games competitions with prizes for winners and the launch of the “MOGALET Corner,” a dedicated children’s playground designed to provide a safe and engaging environment for young children while their parents participate in the day’s activities.
Attendees can also expect live entertainment, including performances by a brass band and DJs, creating what organisers describe as a vibrant and celebratory atmosphere throughout the event.
The Accra event will feature special appearances by renowned broadcaster Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey, popularly known as Abeiku Santana, distinguished academic and author Professor Robert Ebo Hinson, and celebrated media personality Oheneyere Gifty Anti, who is also a member of MOGA.

Several old students’ associations from across the country have also been invited to participate. They include alumni groups from Adisadel College, Mfantsipim School, Wesley Girls’ High School, St. Augustine’s College, Holy Child School, Aggrey Memorial A.M.E. Zion Senior High School, Ghana National College, Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School, Accra Academy, St. Mary’s Senior High School and Aburi Girls’ Senior High School.
Commenting on the event, MOGA National President, Mrs. Henrietta Opokua Amissah, said the Health Walk is intended to promote a strong culture of wellness while strengthening the bonds of sisterhood among members.
“This Reloaded Edition is bigger, bolder, and more connected than ever. It reflects the unstoppable strength of our global sisterhood,” she said.
The MOGA National Health Walk 2026 is being supported by several old guilds and corporate sponsors, including TWISCO, Blue Skies, Voltic, Fan Milk Ghana, Shades of Sam, St. Michael’s Hospital and Qualicare.
Media coverage for the event will be provided by TV3 Ghana, GTV Ghana, Joy Prime, Citi TV/FM and Joy FM.
MOGA, the official alumni association of Mfantsiman Girls’ Senior High School, is committed to fostering lifelong connections among past students while advancing initiatives focused on health, education, professional development and social impact.
