Head coach of Asante Kotoko, Prosper Narteh Ogum has patted his squad at the back for a yeoman’s job in week 12.
The Porcupine Warriors were their better selves on Sunday after smashing three goals past AshantiGold in the “Asante Derby.
Cameroonian import, Franck Etouga gave the Miners a hell of time – bagging his first hat-trick for the club and season at the Baba Yara Stadium. Prosper Narteh has praised the players for a job well done.
“It was good and so far I think for the first time in Baba Yara we were able to find our rhythm.
“We were able to circulate the ball very well, confidently and if you look at the chances that we created, we could have scored more.
“So I’m happy that for the first time they were very calm on the ball, they were very calm without the ball and we were able to exploit the spaces that we created.
“AshantiGold is a big team which we all know and going up by 3-1 I mean it’s fantastic, I’m happy for the boys.” Prosper Narteh told StarTimes.
Asante Kotoko have now collected 26 points, three better than second place King Faisal and Aduana Stars. They have an outstanding week seven fixture against arch rivals, Hearts of Oak set to be played in February.
