The Ministry of Youth and Sports under honourable Mustapha Ussif has invited the Ghana Football Association for a meeting.

A release earlier today confirmed the invitation from the Ministry.

The meeting, scheduled for Friday, January 21 was summoned following the Black Stars poor campaign at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon. Ghana for the first time in 2006 exited the tournament at the group stage.

The four time holders came last in group c after taking home just a point from three games.

They lost their opening game by 1-0 to North Africans, Morocco at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium courtesy a solitary strike by Soufiane Boufal.

The second game was not better in result as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Gabon who were without top striker Pierre Aubameyang and Mario Lemina due to COVID-19 complications.

Their third game was a disaster where debutants, Comoros confirmed the Black Stars to a 3-2 defeat in Garoua.

Ghana will now shift attention to the final stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers set for March.
