Hearts of Oak’s new signing, Sulley Muntari has not ruled out having a tattoo of a major trophy on his body if the club wins any.
The former Black Stars midfielder had the UEFA Champions League trophy tattooed on his arm after claiming the coveted title with Inter Milan in 2010.
Muntari, 37, signed for the Phobians until the end of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season. The former Liberty Professionals midfielder made the comments when asked about some popular artworks on his skin.
“Yh, why not, the things I have on my skin, they mean something that’s why I have it there. “I just don’t put it because I want to put it.
“I worked for it, with the help of God and my own self, I did it so that’s what we want to do. “At the moment we are in the 5th position which we want to play good football and be able to climb gradually to the top.
“We are not going to look to someone’s home, we just want to train and focus on games day by day.” Sulley Muntari told Hearts of Oak media.
Muntari aside from the UEFA Champions League, he has won the Super Cup, Scudetto the English FA Cup with Portsmouth in 2008.
He has featured for Inter and rivals, AC Milan as well as Pescara in the Italian top flight. He last played for two Spanish clubs, Deportivo La Coruna and Albacete – leaving the latter in 2019.
He is expected to bring his rich experience to help Hearts of Oak defend the double they won last season. Sulley Muntari has played 84 times, scoring 20 goals for the Black Stars of Ghana from three FIFA World Cup appearances and the 2008 AFCON in Ghana.
