The Black Stars of Ghana are currently in a fix as to whether some players will be available for the final World Cup qualifier.

Ghana will host the Super Eagles of Nigeria in March for a place in the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be held in Qatar later this year.

Prior to the start of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, Ghana missed the services of some key players through injury with other opting to stay away to due lack of readiness for the tournament.

AS Roma forward, Felix Afena Gyansid not turn up for the AFCON due to lack of readiness for tournament.

One key player who equally missed out of the tournament was Ajax midfielder, Mohammed Kudus.

He was out of the tournament after picking up an injury in the last FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa at the Cape Coast Stadium.

The injury ruled him out of the tournament despite then coach, Milovan Rajevac naming him in his final squad for the tournament. The former Right tonDream Soccer Academy graduate describes the injury as strange.

“The injury against South Africa was a weird one because normally you have impact from opponents before you have a rib injury,” he told Ajax Media.

“I mean, I was disappointed again but it just happened so the most important thing was how to get my recovery and mind right for the whole situation.

“I think normally when you’re playing all the time, you’re just focused on football and all of that.

When you start getting injured and you’re out of football, you get to realize there’s more to life than just football.”

Ghana will play Nigeria over two legs for a place at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The first leg comes up on March 24 at the Cape Coast Stadium with the second leg at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on March 29.
