Hearts of Oak midfielder, Salim Adams is counting on the experienced hands at the club to help shape his burgeoning career.

The youngster joined the one time CAF Champions League winners from second tier club, New Edubiase and has instantly made a mark in domestic and continental football.

He netted the second goal in Hearts of Oak’s 2-0 win over Guinea club, Club Industriel de Kamsar to qualify for the second round of the 2021/22 CAF Champions where they eventually got eliminated by Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco.

He has equally gathered a number of game time under coach Samuel Boadu which has helped built his confidence.

He started the “Super Clash” against Kotoko – his first alongside former Black Stars midfielder, Sulley Muntari, Abdul Aziz Nurudeen and that partnership has left him salivating for more.

“It’s been perfect,” Adams told phobianews.com. “I just come in every day and get on with it. It’s a great bunch of talented players here and everyone knows what we want to do as a club.

“ Sulley Muntari is here – an experienced player, someone I can learn from and get the experience required to meet the exigencies of the modern game.

“I know I can keep getting better and the type of players I have as my teammates can help me do that, along with the gaffer and the coaching staff.

“I will learn from them, see what they do on and off the field so I can try to be the best I can be. Adams also went on to reveal that one of the main reasons he signed for Hearts was to help them win trophies, saying: “I signed for Hearts because I know it’s a club with ambition that wants to win silverware and it’s great to be part of it.

” Despite a squad replete with a plethora of talent, Hearts of Oak have been less impressive this season under Samuel Boadu who led them to the treble last term.

A record of six victories, seven draws and four losses sees them in 7th spot with 25 points same as Karela United after the first round of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.
